On pokemon crater,Darkrai's dark pulse only does 195 damage instead of 234 damage so it is not the best pokemon any more, but it is still one of the best.
A new set of pokemon cards have been released and they are called diamond and pearl after the new pokemon games. the pokemon now have levels and there is a new type of card called X cards. (eg.Torterra lv.X)They are really good and some of them are even better than the old ex cards.
A few weeks ago an amazing pokemon was given out: Manaphy.there are other events where you can get other incredible pokemon, like manaphy,the water pokemon.A few months ago there was an event where you could get mew and have a go on some new Nintendo DSs and play on pokemon diamond.It was held at Toys R` Us, like many nintendo events. Look on all of the nintendo websites for details of when the events will take place
There is a new project which is being developed at the time of writing and it is called pokemon online. At the moment, you can only choose from one of the first 150 pokemon,but the sprites (the tiny characters that you see on pokemon)actually move.It is planned that it will eventually be 3D, so pokemon online is something that you should watch out for in the future.
POTW (Pokemon of the week)
Salamence 
The reason why we have chosen salamence to be the first pokemon of the week is that on pokemon crater it is a really good pokemon and it looks cool too.On pokemon diamond it is one of most feared sweepers(sweeper is the technical term which has been adopted for attacker.Sweepers come in two forms on the pokemon games made by Nintendo:physical sweepers and special sweepers, physical sweepers are blocked by physical walls such as scarmory and weezing and special sweepers are blocked by special walls such as snorlax and blissey. Blissey is the best special wall because it has a healing move and most others don't. Clefable does too but it is not used as often because it does not have as much HP)

Dragon Rage is there because it is a decent move which does good damage.
Overheat is to counter annoying ice and steel types.
Aurora Beam is to counter the other dragons
The last move is just a filler move and the one you pick should support your team.

Dragon Dance first turn to up your attack and speed, then sweep away with any of the other moves. Roost is there to negate life orb damage.
