Issue #7
You may be thinking that the last issue wasn't written very long ago, but I am not really sticking to my schedule of 1 ezine per week, so I need to make up for it now.
News
I have just dicovered finetune, for the wii(http://www.finetune.com/wii). Excellent... (Mr Burns). It is a really great internet radio site. And also miicreator (http://www.miicreator.com/). Meet Pikachu Guy ! Very cool you have to admit. My mii tutorials are coming soon, and I will use both the wii mii creator and the online one.
Wii Mii games is good too (http://www.miiwiigames.com), so is Wiiplayable (http://www.wiiplayable.com). For some reason I don't like wiicade as much, but it's just down to personal preference ! Also, a sort of wii browser add-on, called wiiminder, but you don't need to download anything. You'll see when you watch the video (http://wiiminder.com).
There is going to be a new Pokemon Ranger game, Ranger 2, and it looks pretty cool. More on that next issue.
The poke-fiction section
Scar gasped as the luminous lights of Gateway Colosseum lit up the beautiful sky of poketopia. “ermmm...” he mumbled, rendered speechless as the impact of the roaring spectators and the sense of space drove into him. “Cool, hey ?!” said an energetic voice. Scar jumped, and head slowly rose to meet the gaze of the hulking figure. “I'm the referee !” he announced cheerily, and then disappeared into the shadows. “Challenger number 1,” roared the announcer, “please position yourself ready for battle”...
(sorry about the short installment this week).
POTW
This Week... Forretress ! ![]()
Forretress is a good pokemon, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather use another physical wall, such as Skamory or Weezing or Bronzong, because they have access to better moves, and they fit in better with 4th Gen teams. However, it can be genuinely useful, if you expect certain moves and pokemon to be on the opposing side.
Moveset
Item : Leftovers
Iron Defense/Explosion/HP Bug/Explosion/Rest/Counter
Earthquake/Gyro Ball
Rapid Spin
Spikes/Stealth Rock
Whew !
For the first one I would want to use Iron Defense, but the others are viable choices. Second slot, I would use Gyro Ball for power, but Earthquake if you expect to come across lots of different types. Rapid Spin. Spikes. Three words that really make Forretress really good. It is one of the only two pokemon that knows both these moves in the whole game. Stealth Rock can be used if you already have a Spiker on your team without Stealth Rock (unlikely, I know, but still).
MOTW
This Week... Gyro Ball !
Physical
PP5
TM 74
Accuracy: 100%
Base Power 01
Beauty type - Two hearts
Gyro Ball ties in quite nicely with Forretress, and it is also quite a unique move, because it changes power because of speed. Great on a slow pokemon like Forretress, then ! Against a extra-speed Rampardos, then expect more than a little damage.
Well, That is the end of this issue. See ya next time !
