Issue #8
Issue #8 ! 8 Isuues down the line, and the site is doing pretty well. anyway, this is issue, you will find lots of new stuff.

Manaphy is probably in Smash Bros. Brawl! It uses Heart Swap move and two characters switch bodies! They switch back eventually, though.
Nothing has been confirmed really yet about the two new pokemon ranger games, but I will keep you posted.
The poke-fiction section
"Go, Dialga!" yelled Scar. THe battle was underway and the tension was rising. "Go, Lickitung!" roared the opponent, although a little feebly, as he knew he couldn't stand up the the gigantic and magnificent creature.
"Wait! "called the referee, "You must use a rental pass for this battle!"
"Fine!" Scar smirked Scar defiantly, "I will."
"Monferno, use your Mach Punch attack now!" enthused the confident challenger.
"Wow, a stunning hit. It's a super effective damage-doer!" the announcer commented. "And first strike, too!" he added.
"Go, Lickitung, use Tackle!" the opponent, Deyas managed, losing hope as he looked at his injured pokemon.
"A great move! Some damage, too!" the announcer boomed heartily.
Scar said encouragingly: "Monferno, just one more attack, one more Mach Punch, and that pokemon will be down to the ground!". Spurred on by the words of his trainer, he attacked.
"A critical hit," the announcer said the announcer, amazed, "and super effective. That is one good move." Deya's spokemon was knocked out. He swiped his leg and glared angrily at Scar as he returned his pokemon.
"One down, two to go!"said Scar in a bold voice.
"Go, Scar" screamed a voice in the stands.
"Mum ?" Scar mumbled, bewildered.
"Hi, Darling, I just popped by to see your first battle.
Impatient, Deyas shouted "Hurry up!"
"Hey, mate, don't break up the family reunion!" the referee threatened.
"Go, Spinda!" Deyas said. After just two attacks, Spinda was down.
"What?!" Deyas cried.
His last pokemon was Weepinbell.
"Monferno, use Sunny Day!" Scar commanded. Immediately, the sun intensified.
Deyas, knowing that the fight was not going to be won, asked his Weepinbell to
use Razor Leaf, but to no avail! Weepinbell refused to use the attack! "What?!"
Deyas said, confused.
"Yes!" Scar yelled, he couldn't believe what had happened, either.
"Go, Fire Punch!" finished Scar, and the battle was over.
His first victory!. Scar knew that one day his name would be synonymous with that word, at least in Poketopia.
Obviusly, the bit about the pokemon refusing to attack is blatantly untrue, I made that bit up.

You may think having two STAB electric attacks in the same moveset is a bit strange, but it you need it to survive if your Pikachu is running low on hit points. Surf is there for obvius reasons (there are various ways to get a surfing pikachu, but at the time of writing, only one to get Surf and Volt Tackle. Thunder Wave is to annoy your opponents, so Pikachu is a sort of annoyer as well as sweeper.

Surf is an extremely good water type move, it is a HM, and it is almost the same as Thunderbolt and Flamethrower. See the elemental tie-in? Clever! It does a very respectable 95 damage without STAB. Pikachu also uses it well to counter ground types, but you won't find very many other Electric types that can do the same thing. It has 15 PP, not amazing, but still good. So that's Surf.
